Carter has gone 9-1 against Eisenhower recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles at 2:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Thursday, Carter got the win against Colton by a conclusive 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Raul Rodarte was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Rodarte was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Carter: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-7 otherwise.
In other batting news, Angel Acevedo was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. Jacob Arcos also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Carter kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Eisenhower challenged Arroyo Valley on Thursday. The Eagles never let the Hawks get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won three in a row.
Denzel Sahagun made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eric Gutierrez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Derek Mendoza was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Carter's record now sits at 9-7. As for Eisenhower, their record is now 4-12.
Carter came out on top in a nail-biter against Eisenhower in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, sneaking past 4-3. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
