While losing is never fun, Fannett Metal can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 642nd, while Shalom Christian Academy is ranked 136th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shalom Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addison Adams, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Maya Lehman was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Fannett Metal has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Shalom Christian Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fannett Metal will take on Claysburg-Kimmel at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shalom Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cumberland Valley Christian at 6:45 p.m. on January 16th.
