The Gettysburg Warriors took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They put the hurt on St. James with a sharp 37-14 victory.
Despite the loss, St. James had strong showings from Claire Barnes, who scored 6 points, and Tenley Mullendore, who scored 6 points. Barnes scored a full 42.9% of St. James' points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Gettysburg's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for St. James, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Gettysburg will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Waynesboro at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024. As for St. James, they will head out on the road to face off against York County Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
