The Analy Tigers will square off against the Montgomery Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Analy is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Analy and Piner, and Analy kept the tradition alive. The Tigers put the hurt on the Prospectors with a sharp 18-1 win on Friday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by seven runs or more this season.

Wes Bush made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Bush was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Analy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-8 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Analy let Hunter Thomas and Donnie Rinkor run wild. Thomas went 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one double, while Rinkor got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases Rinkor has posted since back in March. Conor Ipsen was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Analy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Montgomery came up short against Maria Carrillo on Saturday and fell 9-5. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Pumas: they've now lost six in a row.
Analy pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Montgomery, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
Analy took their victory against Montgomery in their previous matchup on April 2nd by a conclusive 12-3 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
