While Citizens Christian Academy's  win against Robert Toombs Christian Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past the Crusaders  5-4. The  win was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on three straight.
 Gracie Giddens was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing five innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   four  hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
 In other batting news,  Brilynn Waldron was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
Citizens Christian Academy's record is now 18-4. As for Robert Toombs Christian Academy,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 13-8.
 We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Citizens Christian Academy will  face off against  rival David Emanuel Academy  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Patriots 3.6, the Eagles 1.9) so any  runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Robert Toombs Christian Academy is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Vidalia Heritage Academy  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
