On Wednesday, Central Dauphin was able to grind out a solid win over Manheim Central, taking the game 30-20. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Central Dauphin has scored all season.
Central Dauphin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexis Ferguson, who scored four points along with four steals. Ferguson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Cavoli, who scored eight points along with three steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Central Dauphin and bumps their season record up to 7-1. As for Manheim Central, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Dauphin won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Manheim Township at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th. Manheim Township is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Manheim Central is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Garden Spot at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Garden Spot is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
