After losing to Bishop Union the last time they met, Fernley decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Vaqueros simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Broncos 47-7. The  contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  34-0.
Fernley was led to victory by  Keeshawn Love and  Bryce Stephens.  Love rushed for 279 yards and a pair of  TDs while picking up 14.7 yards per carry, while  Stephens rushed for 70 yards and three  scores. Love's rushing production has been exceptional  for a while as that marked his tenth straight game with at least 128  rushing yards dating back to last season.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fernley was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 451  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 209  rushing yards in 13 consecutive  games  dating back to last season.
 Fernley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Brody Jones.
Fernley's win bumped their record up to 2-0.
 Coming up, Fernley will host Elko  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. This will  be the Vaqueros' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Bishop Union, they will head out to  face off against Mission College Prep  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
