The Manteca Buffaloes's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Mountain House Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on December 29th. Hopefully Manteca is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mountain House in California (Manteca is ranked 174th, while Mountain House is ranked 471st).
On Wednesday, Manteca was able to grind out a solid win over El Capitan, taking the game 50-39.
Manteca got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaesha Dunn out in front who scored nine points along with ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dunn has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taimane Tuuga, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, everything went Mountain House's way against Edison two weeks ago as Mountain House made off with a 57-32 victory. The win was just what Mountain House needed coming off of a 67-26 loss in their prior match.
Manteca's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-3. As for Mountain House, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.
Manteca beat Mountain House 62-54 in their previous matchup on December 7th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Manteca since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
