Wyalusing Valley is 8-2 against Canton since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Wyalusing Valley Rams will be playing at home against the Canton Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Wyalusing Valley had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They secured a 36-32 W over Susquehanna.
Meanwhile, Canton was able to grind out a solid victory over Addison on Saturday, taking the game 30-21.
Cailyn Van Noy and Kendall Kitchen were among the main playmakers for Canton as the former scored 11 points and the latter scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Daveian Crowley, who scored 3 points along with 11 rebounds.
Wyalusing Valley's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Canton, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Wyalusing Valley came up short against Canton when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 52-48. Thankfully for Wyalusing Valley, Molly Ward (who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
