Excelsior Charter is a perfect 6-0 against Silver Valley since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 3:15 p.m. Excelsior Charter will be strutting in after a win while Silver Valley will be coming in after a defeat.
On Monday, Excelsior Charter got the win against Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy by a conclusive 24-13. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Logan Brown made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-6 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
In other batting news, Elias Hernandez was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Issac Castillo was another key player, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two RBI.
Excelsior Charter lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy didn't launched any.
Silver Valley kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 10-0 to Burroughs. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.
Excelsior Charter now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Silver Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Everything went Excelsior Charter's way against Silver Valley in their previous matchup back in April of 2019, as Excelsior Charter made off with a 25-2 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
