Riverside Prep waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Tahquitz Titans. The Silver Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 matches by six runs or more this season.
Trent Bourgeois made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Andrew Logsdon was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Victor Herrera, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Riverside Prep's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Tahquitz, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-9.
