The  win was just what New Creation Christian Academy needed coming off of  a  10-0 defeat in their prior  contest.
  Chase Jones made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  tossed five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits (he also only allowed one  walk). Jones has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  a single  walk in four consecutive pitching appearances. Jones was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while going 2-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Cooper Kelley was  incredible,  scoring a  run and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Nolan Hyde, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-2.
 New Creation Christian Academy's victory  ended  a  four-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 3-12. As for Grace Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 3-4 with that  loss, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
 New Creation Christian Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Grace Christian Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 2:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
