After flying high against the Arroyo Valley Hawks last Thursday, the Grand Terrace Titans came back down to earth. Grand Terrace fell just short of San Gorgonio by a score of 55-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Grand Terrace has suffered yet this season.
Despite the loss, Grand Terrace still got an impressive performance from Jayleen Barajas, who scored 31 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Barajas is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Philosphy Heard, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Grand Terrace bumped their record down to 15-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for San Gorgonio, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Grand Terrace will head out on the road to take on Jurupa Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jurupa Hills comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for San Gorgonio, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Arroyo Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Arroyo Valley is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
