After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Effingham, Effingham County was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Statesboro Blue Devils. That looming 10-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rebels yet this season.

Effingham County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Statesboro, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Looking ahead, Effingham County will square off against Harris County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.5 runs per game this season, so the Rebels' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Statesboro, they will head out to face off against Glynn Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
