Don Lugo has gone a perfect 5-0 against Diamond Ranch recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Conquistadors will welcome the Panthers at 3:30 p.m. Don Lugo will be strutting in after a victory while Diamond Ranch will be coming in after a loss.
Don Lugo took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They skirted past Chino 7-6. The win was some much needed relief for the Conquistadors as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Don Lugo saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jasim Malik, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The Conquistadors are undefeated when Malik posts two or more runs, but 4-12-2 otherwise. Preston Suksdorf was another, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Diamond Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Chaffey.
Ethan Lomeli put in work while hitting and pitching. He tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, Diamond Ranch got a big performance out of Isaiah Aparicio, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Keith Houdashelt, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Don Lugo's victory bumped their record up to 8-12-2. As for Diamond Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.
Everything went Don Lugo's way against Diamond Ranch when the teams last played back in March, as Don Lugo made off with an 11-1 win. Will the Conquistadors repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
