Basketball Recap: Kallee Johnson Key Part of a Team Effort in Golden Knights Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Muncy, Neumann Regional Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 45-21 margin over the Bucktail Bucks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 47-39 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Neumann Regional Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kallee Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Niyah Tutler, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.

Neumann Regional Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Neumann Regional Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Bucktail, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Neumann Regional Academy will square off against Columbia County Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Columbia County Christian's defense has only allowed 20.1 points per game this season, so Neumann Regional Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Bucktail, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against West Branch at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
