The Willows Honkers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Durham by a score of 57-54. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Willows of the 53-38 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Despite the defeat, Willows had strong showings from Connie Huttman, who scored 16 points, and Karla Sandoval DiMaggio, who scored 16 points.
Willows has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season. As for Durham, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Willows' homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Durham will take on the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pierce will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
