The Upper Perkiomen Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Pennridge 65-23. Upper Perkiomen was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-11.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Erin States, who scored seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Kearney, who scored seven points.
Upper Perkiomen has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Pennridge, their win was their third straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Upper Perkiomen won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Upper Merion Area at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. Upper Merion Area will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Pennridge will be home for the holidays to greet Harry S. Truman at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
