Hayfork's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They strolled past the Tulelake Honkers with points to spare, taking the game 47-29. The Timberjacks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hayfork to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaelynn Bayley, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards. Bayley has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Riley Bayley was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.

Hayfork smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tulelake only pulled down seven offensive rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Tulelake lost, don't look at Makenzie Perez. Despite the final result, she went 6 of 10 on her way to 13 points and five rebounds.

Hayfork moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Tulelake, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Hayfork will be playing in front of their home fans against Dunsmuir at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tulelake, they will venture away from home to square off against Bonanza at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
