Meanwhile, Mission Viejo took a serious blow against El Toro on Thursday, falling 61-25. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Mission Viejo has suffered against El Toro since January 4, 2022.
Capistrano Valley has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season. As for Mission Viejo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-17.
Things could have been worse for Capistrano Valley, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 43-24 loss to Mission Viejo when the teams last played last Thursday. Can Capistrano Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
