The Liberty Bison will head out on the road to challenge the Sierra Vista Dons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Liberty lost to the Titans at home by a decisive 54-40 margin. Liberty has not had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kelli Harris-Wellman, who scored eight points along with four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Enguillado, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Sierra Vista came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past Nogales with a 46-40 victory.
Sierra Vista found their leader in underclassman Zaira Eulloque, who scored 16 points along with seven steals and five assists. Cailei Buna was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Sierra Vista, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.
