Winner's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shawn Hammerbeck led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Carter Craven, who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds.
Stanley County's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Winner, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 1-0.
Stanley County was dealt a bruising 58-25 loss at the hands of Winner when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Stanley County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
