The East Coweta Indians lost against the Carver Panthers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. East Coweta took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Carver. East Coweta has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rihanna Reams, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reams has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ariana Simmons, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals.
East Coweta has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Carver, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Coweta will take on Campbell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Campbell presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than East Coweta in Georgia (Campbell is ranked 41st, while East Coweta is ranked 357th). As for Carver, they will be playing at home against Douglass at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
