The Constitution Generals can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Monday. Everything went their way against Penn Treaty as Constitution made off with a 53-31 victory. Constitution's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Penn Treaty's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Aliyah Rogers, who scored 14 points, and Isabella Ortiz who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Ortiz is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Destiny Speach was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Constitution's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6. As for Penn Treaty, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Constitution will head out on the road to face off against Franklin Towne at 3:15 p.m. on January 17th. As for Penn Treaty, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Abraham Lincoln at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Abraham Lincoln presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Penn Treaty in Pennsylvania (Abraham Lincoln is ranked 260th, while Penn Treaty is ranked 594th).
