Euclid is 2-8 against Medina since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Euclid's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 82-61 defeat at the hands of Brunswick. Euclid has not had much luck with Brunswick recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Ari Jones, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Myckel Davis, who scored 14 points.
Medina posted their biggest victory since December 12, 2023 on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Shaker Heights 68-37 on the road. Given Medina's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while Shaker Heights is ranked 380th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Euclid has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Medina, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
