Softball Recap: Charlton County Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

There's no place like home for Charlton County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Atkinson County Rebels on Tuesday. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Jules Gowen was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Ella Privett was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Charlton County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Atkinson County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.
