The Kingsway Dragons will challenge the Audubon Green Wave at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kingsway is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
Kingsway was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Ocean City on Monday. The Dragons put the hurt on the Red Raiders with a sharp 11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Dragons, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Kevin Magsam spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Kingsway got a massive performance out of Kyle Shields, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases Shields has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Brayden Bell, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Kingsway was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in three consecutive contests.
The home team had come away the winner the last seven times Audubon and Haddonfield had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Green Wave fell just short of the Bulldawgs by a score of 9-8 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Green Wave in their meetings with the Bulldawgs: they've now lost three in a row.
Audubon also got a good showing from Drew Piechowski, who tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Connor Chester made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Aaron Pilla was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with three runs.
Kingsway's victory bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Audubon, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Kingsway has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Audubon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Kingsway came up short against Audubon in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, falling 5-2. Can the Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
