The Cowanesque Valley Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Williamson Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cowanesque Valley is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Cowanesque Valley won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 64-16 loss at the hands of Troy. Cowanesque Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-9.
Meanwhile, Williamson had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They came out on top against Wyalusing Valley by a score of 46-33. 46 seems to be a good number for Williamson as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Cowanesque Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Williamson, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
Cowanesque Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Williamson in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 46-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cowanesque Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
