After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Forest Hills, Bedford was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-38 victory over the Chestnut Ridge Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-47 back in December of 2024.
Chestnut Ridge's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylie Mccreary, who posted eight points along with five boards and three blocks. Those three blocks gave Mccreary a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Daisy Moyer, who went 5-for-10 on her way to 12 points and six rebounds.
Bedford's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Chestnut Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-20.
