While Stratford Academy's  win against Brentwood wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Stratford Academy Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Brentwood War Eagles on Friday, sneaking past  6-4. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the War Eagles, too.
 Jaxen Justice was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out nine over 5.1 innings pitched. Furthermore,  he didn't allow a single  earned run, the first time  he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing  Two bases. while going 1-for-4. Those  two  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high.

 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jett Johnston, who  went 3-for-4 with three  doubles, one  stolen base,  and one  run. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  hits.  Brayden Fritz also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  run of the season.
The  victory  got Stratford Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Brentwood, their defeat  ended  a  six-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 3-2.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stratford Academy will take on George Walton Academy at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Brentwood, they will face off against John Milledge Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday.
