Sacramento is 9-1 against El Camino since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Even though Sacramento has not done well against Rio Americano recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Sacramento secured a 39-33 W over Rio Americano. The win was nothing new for Sacramento as they're now sitting on three straight.
La ne Dunn was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for six straight games. Another player making a difference was E'Myiah Morris, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, El Camino had to suffer through a rough 57-29 loss at the hands of Christian Brothers. While losing is never fun, El Camino can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 589th, while Christian Brothers is ranked 120th).
Sacramento's victory bumped their record up to 13-14. As for El Camino, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-13.
Sacramento came up short against El Camino when the teams last played back in January, falling 54-42. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of El Camino's Noelle Potratz, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and 18 rebounds.
