Anaheim is 10-0 against Century since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Anaheim Colonists will head out on the road to square off against the Century Centurions at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Anaheim has six straight wins, Century has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
In what's become a running theme this season, Anaheim gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 70-50 margin over Magnolia. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Anaheim has posted against Magnolia since April 27, 2021.
Anaheim's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Giselle Zambrano led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Zambrano has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aleah McGregor, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Century suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 55-1 defeat at the hands of Santa Ana Valley. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Century has scored all season.
Anaheim's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Century, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Everything came up roses for Anaheim against Century in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 107-32 victory. Does Anaheim have another victory up their sleeve, or will Century turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
