There's no place like home for the Millville Quakers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They breezed by Sullivan County at home to the tune of 54-26. For Millville, this counts as revenge for the 32-27 loss Sullivan County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Leading Millville to victory were Abby Kakaley and Larissa Evans. Kakaley scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals, while Evans scored 20 points along with three steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Evans has scored at least 25% of Millville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Hippenstiel, who scored ten points.
Millville pushed their record up to 6-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Sullivan County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
Millville will head out on the road to face off against Montgomery at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sullivan County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northwest Area at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northwest Area presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sullivan County in Pennsylvania (Northwest Area is ranked 273rd, while Sullivan County is ranked 648th).
