Jackson extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-6. They lost 16-6 to the Forest Park Panthers. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.
Kamaree Garrett made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two triples, two stolen bases, and two runs. Savannah Brooks also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.
As for Forest Park, they now have a winning record of 4-3. Considering they have won four games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
On Forest Park's side, Makenzie Ginlock was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over five innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. With that strong performance, Ginlock is now averaging an impressive 5.3 strikeouts per game. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in September of 2024.
In other batting news, Forest Park got a massive performance out of Destiny Harris, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Harris has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Savannah Wiley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
Looking ahead, Jackson will challenge Therrell at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Jaguars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Forest Park, they are taking a road trip to take on Mays at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20.6 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
