Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valley View). They enjoyed a cozy 62-43 win over the Grand Terrace Titans on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Valley View's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Meletonga Manu, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards. Manu has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Gianna Mendiola was another key player, putting up nine points along with five assists and five steals.

When it comes to explaining why Grand Terrace lost, don't look at Samyah Green. Despite the final result, she posted 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Duran, who scored ten points.

The win made it two in a row for Valley View and bumps their season record up to 3-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points over those games. As for Grand Terrace, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Valley View will welcome JW North at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Grand Terrace has already played their next game (against Rancho Verde), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
