Paynesville moved up to 112 from 151 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in West Central - South. The Bulldogs climbed the ranks as a result of besting Sauk Centre 44-21.
Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Lac qui Parle Valley, 35-7. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Tigers.
Matt Ahrndt has thrown for 641 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Colin Ose has 20 catches for 266 yards. Ahrndt also leads the league in rushing with 659 yards.
Two of the top units in West Central - South will face off this week when Benson takes on B O L D. Benson's offense has scored 169 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Warriors have allowed only 34 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when B O L D takes on Scott Gonnermon's team. Steve Solem's team is in second place, while Benson is in sixth place.
The Warriors took down Montevideo 53-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
