Paradise is 0-6 against Colusa since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Paradise Bobcats will be staying on the road to face off against the Colusa RedHawks at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Paradise will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1082nd, while Colusa is ranked 311th).
Paradise suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against Durham, falling 55-18. Paradise was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-9.
Meanwhile, Colusa had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 points), and they went ahead and made it 11 on Wednesday. They took down Live Oak 49-34.
Paradise has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Colusa, they pushed their record up to 17-5 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Paradise lost to Colusa on the road by a decisive 45-31 margin when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Paradise avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
