Enka hasn't had much luck against T.C. Roberson recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Enka Jets will challenge the T.C. Roberson Rams at 8:00 p.m. Enka is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.3 points per game this season.
Last Friday, 2025 welcomed Enka with a 71-49 loss courtesy of A.C. Reynolds. While losing is never fun, the Jets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 435th, while the Rockets are ranked 217th).
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Logan Trantham and Declan Brown. Brown had a solid game and almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. Meanwhile, Trantham did his best for the losing side, putting up 15 points.
Meanwhile, T.C. Roberson came up short against West Caldwell last Saturday and fell 67-57. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.
Enka will have to contain Dean Lowe as he made an impact in T.C. Roberson's last game. He almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Lowe a new career-high in steals (five). Another player making a difference was Joemar Darity, who posted 12 points.
Even though they lost, T.C. Roberson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.
T.C. Roberson's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Enka, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's game: Enka has made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having averaged 8.5 three-pointers per game. It's a different story for T.C. Roberson, though, as they've been averaging only 3.2 three-pointers. Given Enka's sizable advantage in that area, T.C. Roberson will need to find a way to close that gap.
Enka came up short against T.C. Roberson when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 56-44. Thankfully for Enka, Jacob McGraw (who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
