In Tuesday's league contest, the host T.C. Roberson Rams basketball team scored a close 53-49 win over the Enka Jets.

The Rams (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Asheville (Asheville, NC). The Cougars come into the 3A/4A Mountain contest with a 2-10 record. In their last contest, Asheville was tipped by Crest (Shelby, NC), 72-58, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Jets battle the McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) in a 3A/4A Mountain contest, on Friday, January 10. Enka will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record. The Titans come into the contest with a 12-1 record after their 73-62 league win over North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC).
