Westchester Country Day has struggled against Gaston Day recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Gaston Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braylen Todd, who scored 16 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Todd posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Kurt Hunter, who scored 21 points.
Westchester Country Day has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Gaston Day, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westchester Country Day will face off against Salem Baptist Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Salem Baptist Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Gaston Day, they will head out on the road to face off against Trinity Academy at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
