The Bullard Knights lost against the Bakersfield Christian Eagles back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Bullard took a 46-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bakersfield Christian. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Bullard came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Bakersfield Christian is ranked 263rd).
Bakersfield Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alexis Bila , who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava King , who scored 4 points along with 20 rebounds.
Bullard's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Bakersfield Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.
Bullard will take on Liberty at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bakersfield Christian, they will square off against Atwater at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
