Basketball Recap: Upper Merion Area Sets Scoring Season-High Against Pottsgrove

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Upper Merion Area). They walked away with a 55-46 victory over the Pottsgrove Falcons on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Pottsgrove's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kendra Ivory, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Ivory continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Leaman, who posted 11 points.

Upper Merion Area's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Pottsgrove, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Upper Merion Area will welcome Upper Perkiomen at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Pottsgrove, they will head out to square off against Pope John Paul II at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
