The DePaul College Prep Rams will take on the Franklin Regional Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Tuesday, DePaul College Prep made easy work of Shady Side Academy and carried off an 11-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.
Keaton Murphy looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits.
On the hitting side, Quinn Roberts was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025. Joey Sacchetti was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Franklin Regional gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past Fox Chapel 10-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Panthers have posted against the Foxes since May 12, 2022.
Anthony Mitchell made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Mitchell was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Luke Williams and Liam Bernadowski did most of the damage at the plate: Williams got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Bernadowski went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Franklin Regional kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fox Chapel only managed five.
