Softball Recap: Pierce County Wins Going Away Against Crisp County

While Pierce County put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Crisp County. The Bears were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Cougars. Considering the Bears have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Pierce County and bumps their season record up to 10-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Crisp County, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pierce County will welcome Cook at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 0.9 runs per game this season, so the Bears' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Crisp County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valdosta at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
