Foresthill is 1-9 against Delta since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wildfires will challenge the Saints at 4:00 p.m. Foresthill will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Foresthill took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Foothill, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildfires narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Mustangs 12-11.

Eli Selvester made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up five earned runs off seven hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, David Silveira was excellent, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. He has become a key player for Foresthill: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Javier Mendiaz also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Delta made easy work of Adventure Christian on Thursday and carried off an 11-1 win.
Like Foresthill, Delta also got a great game from a two-way player: Ty Hutson. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Hutson was also big at the plate, earning one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Delta let Wyatt Griffiths and Jackson Gomes run wild. Griffiths went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Gomes went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Austin Ortega was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Delta hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Adventure Christian struck out seven times.
The victory was their first at home, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Foresthill, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Foresthill has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Delta struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Foresthill got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 against Delta by a conclusive 12-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildfires since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
