Pacific Ridge has gone 7-2 against Rock Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Firebirds will be playing at home against the Warriors at 3:15 p.m. Pacific Ridge knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Rock Academy likes a good challenge.
On Friday, Pacific Ridge made easy work of Guajome Park Academy and carried off a 13-4 victory. Considering the Firebirds have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Michael Fredericks and Cal Chivers were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Fredericks pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Chivers pitched three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Fredericks has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Fredericks got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one triple and one RBI, while Chivers went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three hits gave Chivers a new career-high.
In other batting news, Madden Lafleur was incredible, going 3-for-5 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. Pacific Ridge is 4-2 when Lafleur posts two or more runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jed McDonald, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Pacific Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Rock Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 12-8 to Calvin Christian.

Everything went Pacific Ridge's way against Rock Academy when the teams last played back in May of 2022, as Pacific Ridge made off with a 13-1 victory. Do the Firebirds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
