The Colfax Falcons can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent match on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 78-41 victory over Sutter on the road. Winning may never get old, but Colfax sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Colfax to victory, but perhaps none more so than Laurlyn Massick, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. It was the first time this season that Massick pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Madalyn Sigrist, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds.
Despite the loss, Sutter still got an impressive performance from Torrence Harter, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Harter is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Reet Bains was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Colfax has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 games, which provided a nice bump to their 25-2 record this season. As for Sutter, they now have a losing record at 13-14.
Colfax will look to defend their home court on Friday against Twelve Bridges at 5:30 p.m. Twelve Bridges will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 698th, while Colfax is ranked 64th). As for Sutter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lindhurst at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Sutter is facing Lindhurst at the right time seeing as Lindhurst is stuck on a 25-game losing streak.
