It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Kingsland Knights had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against Fertile-Beltrami by a score of 36-28. Kingsland's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Beau Wiersma was on fire: he rushed for 299 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry. Wiersma was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 64 yards. Another player making a difference was Kaaleem Reiland, who rushed for 113 yards.
Kingsland's victory bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Fertile-Beltrami, their loss dropped their record down to 13-1.
Kingsland will be staying on the road on November 25th to face off against Nevis at 10:00 a.m. on November 25th. Nevis is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Fertile-Beltrami does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
