Quantico is 0-4 against Highland since February of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Quantico Warriors' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Highland Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on January 16th. Quantico comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Thursday, Quantico was the victim of a rough 46-25 defeat at the hands of Randolph-Macon Academy.
Quantico's loss came about despite a quality game from Olivia Barry, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barry has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Highland was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 33-27 to Wakefield School.
Quantico bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Highland, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.
Quantico might still be hurting after the 33-12 defeat they got from Highland when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Quantico avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
