Calvary Baptist kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 70-17 loss at the hands of Lansdale Catholic. Calvary Baptist was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-13.
Lansdale Catholic got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Grace Mcdonough out in front who scored 17 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Boccella, who scored 19 points.
Calvary Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Lansdale Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Calvary Baptist will head out on the road to face off against Gloucester County Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lansdale Catholic, they will take on Baldwin at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.
